The remarks read as follows “The records further indicate subject revolver was returned to the factory and reshipped on loan account to (individuals name and address in Washington D.C). on April 7, 1955. It was again returned and shipped on loan account to Albion Knitting Company Ltd., Peterborough, Ontario, Canada on October 25, 1955. At this time the records describe the engraving as deluxe grade. Floral scroll and punch dot engraving adorn the barrel, frame and cylinder flats. The right side of the barrel is marked with the one-line address, and the left side has “POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL/.38 SPECIAL CTG.” Both markings are amid the engraving as is the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. The hammer has polished sides and a matte blue on the balance.

The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish with a very faint cylinder drag line, some minor handling marks and some finish loss on the front face of the cylinder. The attractive pearl grips are as new. The markings and engraving are sharp. The action is excellent, and the revolver appears un-fired. The box is very fine with labels complete and showing some minor wear.
