Concealed carry pistols are dominated by the 9mm Luger cartridge. The smaller size of the 9mm casing allows more rounds in the magazine than a competing .45 ACP. The lower energy of the 9mm compared to the stopping power of a 230-grain .45 ACP bullet is a consideration for some shooters.
